Before you install it.
No. You sign in yourself, in your own browser, before the extension does anything. It captures the screen you are looking at when you press Capture, and nothing else.
A picture of each screen you capture at three widths, and the visible structure of that screen: its headings, labels and controls. It goes to your own UX Signal account. No cookies, no credentials and nothing in the background.
That banner is the capture itself. To photograph a screen at tablet and phone widths without you resizing the window, the extension briefly uses Chrome's own tooling, then lets go the moment the capture finishes.
Pro or Team. Installing the extension is free; submitting captures for scoring needs a plan.
